SOLD our 3 Bedroom Semi Detached Family Home - Porch and Hallway

Living in our house has been a great experience, and we've spent much time upgrading and redecroating it in a neutral and eye pleasing manner. The house has adapted to our needs from just two adults to the family we now are. The drive easily accomodates two large cars, and at a push we have parked two further vehicles adjacent to the hard standing on the grass. We have considered widening the drive but we do like the pleasent green aspect that the lawn gives the property. Add to that the further parking that is possible on the communal access (local authority maintained) this is a great house for entertaining your friends and family. We've never had a problem parking and enjoy the lower car insurance premiums that off orad parking affords.

Access to the rear is possible down the side of the property where an arched gate compliments the arched porchway at the front of the building. We have recently ceased subscription to Sky although the 'dish' remains for any future occupents to utilise should they wish too. We think that the front of the house presents a pleasing aspect which has a lot of charm and character for a semi-detached house in Guildford.

Porch & Hallway
Walking through the arched porch you'll catch the scent of the rose and honeysuckle bushes (during the spring and summer) creeping their way around the top. Our hardwood door is painted a vivid blue and is set off with polished brass door furniture. Once into the Hallway you have a wide bristle shoe mat the full width of the hallway to help control the ingress of dirt. This leads on to light oak effect laminate flooring choosen for it's hard wearing practicality in such a high traffic area.

To the left and above head height is the electric meter hidden from sight in their own cupboard. At eye level we then have the coat hooks and below is the radiator which warms up your outdoor coats wonderfully. And finally we have a small window which floods the hall and stairs with light and the wondow ledge provide a handy cubby for keys, wallets, phones and loose change. Or at least it does in our household!

To the right is the door into the lounge and just beyond are the stairs. Carpeted in a light hessian effect knotted twist with random dots of dark brown effect throughout. It's nicer than we've described and was chosen as it seemed a calming, neutral carpet. Which contniues throughout much of upstairs, but to that later...
